I am very noob @ all this.
For playing Aoc, u need to open only a select list of ports. But if u open DMZ, it throws all the ports open thereby increasing virus attack.
Some anti-viruses(eg.kaspersky) needs to disabled before playing aoc (on igz). It blocks the ports

no needed to close anti -virus just diable its firewall and also no need to close window fire wall just go in advance and tick all optionss in the list
vista user if using home premium no need to do anything just confic your router abd vista will take care of other things.!

yup thats right. dmz throws open all the ports. hehe
come to think of it now, virtual server roxx
only specific ports are forwarded.but 99% of my friends have the DMZ type router and all have enabled it and no one faces any major problem. so its not a big deal i guess
